Belajar Melalui "Cartoon Strips"

Belajar Bahasa Inggeris melalui cartoon strips. Boleh ajak anak-anak murid kumpul dan tampal dalam buku. Minta ibu bapa belikan akhbar Bahasa Inggeris dll.

Terpulanglah kepada murid nak pilih kartun yang mana, contohnya murid lelaki mungkin meminati cartoon strips "Batman". Jika mereka diberi kebebasan memilih, mereka akan lebih teruja untuk membaca dan mengumpul. Lagi pun, pilihan kita pendidik ni kadang-kadang memang membosankan (haha).

P/S: Yang ini memang all time favourite cartoon. Paling suka "Marvin" dan "Rugrats". Dulu-dulu saya rajin kumpul. Saya akan kongsi dari semasa ke semasa.

Let's Draw Nouns!

Bosankan asyik-asyik "A is for apple", "B is for ball", "C is for caterpillar" dan seterusnya? Kalau dapat melukis di atas kertas kosong lebih FUN. Bebas melukis apa sahaja. Kita boleh EXPLORE imaginasi dan kreativiti.

Worksheets kosong begini boleh digunakan oleh semua peringkat umur untuk mantapkan noun dan vocabulary. Kalau untuk kelas, boleh buat setiap hari atau seminggu sekali. Kalau bimbang murid tak dapat nak fikir spontan, boleh minta murid fikirkan "nouns" di rumah dan lukis di sekolah keesokan harinya.

Antara aktiviti yang boleh dibuat menggunakan worksheets ini:

STEP 1 - Murid bebas melukis apa sahaja. Cikgu pun join sekalilah baru seronok. Sediakan satu extra worksheet untuk cikgu gunakan.

STEP 2 - Tulis "noun" (lihat contoh dalam link di bawah).

STEP 3 - Warnakan.

STEP 4 - Beri gambaran/describe "noun" yang dilukis ("adjective").

STEP 5 - Bina ayat ringkas. Tuliskan.

STEP 6 - Sebut ayat yang sama dengan kuat.

Contoh "Step 5 & 6" (bina, tulis & sebutkan ayat):
The banana is green.
The white bowl is big.

HASIL:

1) Dapat berlatih melukis.
2) Dapat mengenal perkataan baru.
3) Dapat berlatih mengeja.
4) Dapat berlatih membina ayat.
5) Dapat membina keyakinan untuk bertutur dalam Bahasa Inggeris.
6) Dapat belajar/mengajar GRAMMAR tanpa perlu memaksa murid menghafal nama/jenis GRAMMAR (nouns, verbs, adjectives dll).
